Raintree
Hybrid
Wood

Raintree is a wood hybrid with a real wood wear layer and supported by a waterproof composite core for added dimensional stability and indentation resistant. Authentic beauty of wood with the durability and performance of composite floors. Raintree waterproof wood floors can be installed on any grade level and do not require the use of adhesives or fasteners. The visual of these floors is the result of natural hardwood top layer, and will therefore add real value to a home.
Engineered
Hardwood

Engineered wood is made by layering veneers of hardwood in alternating grain directions to create optimal dimensional stability and in some cases increase overall indentation resistance. The quality/type of wood used in the lower layers can heavily impact the performance of the wood. Engineered hardwood can be installed on all grade levels and by directly gluing to concrete subfloors. The visual of these floors is the result of natural hardwood top layer, and will therefore add real value to a home.
Solid
Wood

Solid hardwood flooring is made from milling 3/4″ thick strips of hardwood out of a log. These products are usually limited to narrow widths because they are less dimensionally stable than engineered hardwood, but offer the generational life cycle by allowing for sanding and refinishing. These floors must be nailed to plywood and should not be glued to concrete in most cases. The visual of these floors is the result of natural hardwood top layer, and will therefore add real value to a home.
WPC / SPC /
MLF

Multi layer flooring/WPC is a relatively new category to flooring – made by combining a waterproof vinyl wear layer and printed wood or stone design onto a rigid core made of wood and plastic composites. They offer the same waterproof top layer of luxury vinyl tiles but with added indentation resistance. MLF is positioned as an upgrade to LVT or Carpet and a budget alternative to real hardwood since the visual is not the result of a natural wood or stone.
LVT / LVP
(all vinyl)

Luxury Vinyl Tile is made by layering vinyl components to create an engineered product. LVT is resistant to moisture but is thinner and more flexible than other hard surface materials, which makes it take the shape of the subfloor underneath which detracts from a natural appearance. Positioned as a value product to rigid core vinyls and hardwood but an upgrade to carpet.
Laminate

Laminate is the original wood-look alternative to natural hardwood, using printed paper decor layers to mimic the grain of wood. The print is then covered with a melamine wear layer to protect the visual and pressed onto a high density fiberboard made of wood particles and resin for indentation resistance and dimensional stability. New versions offer much improved moisture resistance, which was a limitation of first generation of laminates and led to the rise of LVT and Rigid Core Vinyls.
