When it comes to DIY renovations and design inspiration, we love turning to some of our favorite bloggers for their first-person accounts of successful installations and transformations from concept to complete! Thanks to Raintree Flooring’s innovative hybrid construction, these planks offer genuine, fashion-forward hardwood species along with the waterproof core and indentation resistance of rigid core flooring. Therefore, these beautiful, value-adding wood floors can be used throughout the home and anchor any design refresh. With this valuable combination of style, durability, and versatility, let’s take a look at how some of the most talented online personalities have used gorgeous Raintree Collections to make their finished rooms shine:

Beth Diana Smith – As a featured designer of the famed One Room Challenge, Beth Diana Smith showcases her eclectic maximalist style through her love of color, pattern, texture, and details. For this challenge, Beth tackled her second-floor bedroom, office, and the connecting hallway between the two rooms. Seizing the opportunity to get rid of the ‘hideous carpet’ that runs through the hallway and into the bedroom and office, Beth desperately wanted to install wood flooring in its place! In her One Room Challenge (Fall 2021): Week 7, The Floor blog post, Beth explains why she ultimately chose charming Raintree Backcountry from the Aspen Estates Collection as her favorite flooring choice:

“I wanted wood floors that closely matched the floor on my first floor that are brown-gray, medium-dark toned, 8” wood planks. Once I knew the look I was going for, it was just a matter of sourcing something that I loved that was actually in-stock.”

Citing Raintree’s 100% waterproof performance, indentation resistance when rearranging furniture, pet-friendliness for dogs, and easy cleanability with Swiffer WetJet, Beth found that Backcountry met her performance, style, and detail requirements perfectly:

“I happily went with Backcountry and it’s completely transformed the look and feel of the rooms including the stairs that were stained to match. Here’s a sneak peek, but you’re going to have to wait until next week’s Final Reveal to see it all.”

We can’t wait to see the fabulous finished results and we will share Beth’s completed One Room Challenge with Raintree Backcountry floors in the near future! Photos above from Mike Van Tassel.

Jenna Sue Design – Jenna Sue has been designing and DIY’ing her way through homes since 2008, seeking to learn, share her experience through her popular Jenna Sue Design blog, and inspire others along the way. In renovating her Hacienda Hideaway, Jenna Sue wanted to completely overhaul the kitchen she inherited (below left) from top to bottom and the demo quickly followed (below right):

When it came to selecting new kitchen floors, Jenna Sue used Pinterest to find inspiration for this key design element as well as elements like cabinetry, backsplash tile, countertops, shelving, and more:

“I knew all along I wanted to use a light-medium toned rustic style engineered wood floor. That’s what we have in our own home and it was one of the best choices we made—easy to clean, hides everything, wears beautifully and adds the perfect amount of warmth that goes with every décor.

Naturally, I jumped at the chance when Raintree Floors reached out and asked if I’d like to partner and try out one of their flooring products. They carry exactly what I had in mind for this house—wide plank (7.4″), brushed European white oak in a matte finish (just like our current floors). The biggest selling point, though, is that they’re vacation rental friendly: 100% waterproof and scratch-resistant with a lifetime warranty.”

Jenna Sue landed on First Flurry from the Aspen Estates Collection (right) to coordinate with Spanish-inspired backsplash tile in her new kitchen.

We love all the material and design decisions that Jenna Sue made and can’t wait to see First Flurry installed in her DIY kitchen renovation over the next several months! Follow all the exciting progress updates on her official @JennaSueDesign Instagram account, and check back here in the forthcoming months for a full flooring recap.
